In April 2023, the Mayor of Wrocław appointed the Plenipotentiary of the Mayor of Wrocław for equal treatment.
Alina Szeptycka is an anti-discrimination trainer, educator, activist, and co-founder of the Kultura Równości Association (since 2014) acting for LGBT+ people in Wrocław and the region. Alina is the co-chairman of the Wrocław Council for Equal Treatment under President Jacek Sutryk (since 2021), and a member of the Wrocław Women's Council (since 2019).
The main task of the Plenipotentiary is to coordinate activities for equality and protection against discrimination.

Key tasks:
- implementation and coordination of activities within the scope of the policy for social diversity;
- developing action plans for equal treatment and counteracting discrimination;
- building a coherent and effective information policy in the field of implemented equality projects;
- coordinating activities in the implementation of the provisions of contracts and memoranda to which the City is a signatory;
- cooperating with non-governmental organisations and institutions operating in the field of equality issues;
- implementating projects raising social awareness in the field of counteracting discrimination.
