In March 2019, the Mayor of Wrocław, Jacek Sutryk, appointed the Mayor of Wrocław’s Plenipotentiary for Residents of Ukrainian Descent. It is Olga Chrebor, who has been working with the Ukrainian community in Wrocław for years.
The Plenipotentiary’s tasks include taking actions to support the Ukrainian minority and Ukrainian citizens who have expressed their intention to settle and work in Wrocław in the process of their adaptation and social integration.
In addition, the Plenipotentiary cooperates with representatives of the central and local administration, civic partners, non-governmental and economic organisations, and other entities. She also represents the City and the Mayor of Wrocław in front of domestic and foreign entities, bodies, and institutions.

- increasing the availability of information and counseling,
- supporting educational processes, including learning the Polish language,
- supporting cultural activities and other initiatives and projects aimed at intercultural cooperation,
- other problems and needs arising from the ongoing analysis.
